Hutch, a leading mobile broadband service provider in Sri Lanka, has selected mobile technology company Fortumo for direct carrier billing.
Hutch customers will have direct carrier billing access allowing subscribers hassle free payments for digital subscriptions of top international content services through their Hutch post-paid or pre-paid mobile balance. The user does not need to create any account or share personal data and the bill is directly charged from the main account balance in a 2-step verification process.
Firaz Markar – AGM Strategic Partnerships at Hutch said: “Now, our customers can avail much awaited access to subscribe and pay seamlessly for their favorite content from apps, games, music, videos and other top services without having to use credit or debit cards.”
Recently, Fortumo launched direct carrier billing with mobile operator Grameenphone in December of last year. Grameenphone is one of the leading mobile operators in Bangladesh.
