Huawei unveils Connected Home Solution at Mobile World Congress 2012

Huawei unveiled, what the company terms as
the most extensive Connected Home Solution in the industry” at the Mobile
World Congress 2012.  The solution is designed to advance digital life at
home and bring a richer and more automated home entertainment and office
experience to people worldwide.

 

The Connected Home Solution comprises the home
entertainment, small office/home office (SOHO), home cloud content sharing and
home security solutions. It is developed for families, small to middle-sized
enterprises, and end-consumers across the broadcasting and telecommunications
industry.

 

With the Connected Home Solution Huawei aims for a
leadership role in the integration of home devices and cloud computing market.

 

Explaining the features of the solution at the
announcement, Jerry Zhi, director of Home Device,  Huawei Device, said,
Mobile alerts when someone breaks into your home, Internet on your TV,
working in a SOHO, life-like sports games without a professional video game
device. These are no longer limited to visions of the future.”

 

The Connected Home Solution will bring benefits to
people across all aspects of their lives. Huawei Device is taking the lead in
integrating products and solutions combining digital media, the digital
distribution business, network terminals and storage,” Zhi added.

 

The solution can be implemented without additional
network investment. It also includes apps including dynamic games &
controls, Internet applications (web browsing, audio visual) on TV, IPTV
entertainment, SOHO Office, home security, home digital device content sharing,
multi-screen switching and cloud access.
