Huawei powers China Telecom to optimize CDMA network

Huawei announced it enabled China Telecom to optimize its
Shenzhen CDMA network to serve the 26th Shenzhen Summer Universiade.

As the sole telecom partner for the entire Universiade
Shenzhen, China Telecom began to optimize its CDMA network in March to prepare
for higher peak traffic during the event.

China Telecom adopted Huawei’s intelligent storm
solutions that can effectively improve network quality and subscriber service
experiences. In this case, the intelligent storm solutions enable the network
to manage ten times the traffic and improve the paging success rate.

CDMA network optimization also consists of voice
experience improvement and differential QoS quality of service. Voice
experience improvement ensures voice quality in the noisy circumstance, and
differential QoS helps operators meet VIP’s communication needs and improves
subscribers’ satisfactions.

Huawei also provides Qchat, a PTT (push to talk) service
throughout the event, which helps Traffic committee provide traffic control,
traffic track services. Qchat is available to consumers with Tianyi devices and
is based on the CDMA2000 EV-DO network. Qchat was first used during the 2011
Xi’an Garden Expo.

Based on Huawei’s commitment to customer-centric
innovation, the CDMA network optimization solutions Huawei provided for China
Telecom will improve network quality and subscriber service experience. We
believe Huawei will further enhance the experience for attendees of the
Shenzhen Summer Universiade,” said Wu hui, president of CDMA and LTE, Huawei.
