GTL income down 27% to Rs 641 crore in Q3

 GTL, a network services company, posted 27 percent decrease in
consolidated revenue at Rs 641.17 crore from global operations for the quarter
ended December 31, 2011 against Rs 881.59 crore for the corresponding period in
the previous year.

For this quarter, the
company’s gross profit plummeted by 132 percent of Rs 84.44 crore against Rs
195.54 crore for the corresponding period in the previous year.

The company’s selling
and marketing expenses stood at Rs 13.17 crore in the current quarter against
Rs 15.08 crore in the corresponding period for the previous year.

Administration
Expenses were Rs 32.96 crore in the current quarter as against Rs 38.82 crore
in the corresponding period for the previous year.

EBITDA for the quarter
ended December 31, 2011 was Rs 38.31 crore as against Rs 141.65 crore during
the corresponding period in the previous year.

GTL‘s
revenue from network services stood at Rs 425.25 crore against Rs 439.43
crore for the last quarter.

Its profit from
network services stood at Rs 16.48 crore for the quarter ended December 31,
2011 against Rs 31.49 crore for the last quarter ended September 30, 2011.

The company’s network
services comprises of network planning & design, network deployment,
professional services, energy management, operational and maintenance and
infrastructure management.

The total manpower of
the company stood at 9,207 as on December 31, 2011, as against 7,733 as on
December 31, 2010.
