GENBAND names David Hiscock as SVP of Sales

Telecom Lead America: IP infrastructure and application solutions provider GENBAND has named David Hiscock as senior vice president of Sales.

Hiscock will be responsible for direct sales in Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA).

Hiscock came to GENBAND as part of the Nortel CVAS acquisition. He was previously a senior member of the company’s sales team based in the U.K.

GENBAND said global demand for interconnection and peering of IP traffic at the borders between networks, as well as security and mediation requirements of Fixed Mobile Convergence technologies are fueling the company’s growth across the EMEA market.

“David has been an integral part of our EMEA success with several Tier 1 carrier customers and his vision, strategic plans for growth and proven track-record at GENBAND made him the clear choice to lead our sales organization in the region,” said Mark Pugerude, president of Global Sales and Marketing for GENBAND.

EMEA is a strong market for GENBAND as evidenced by the recent IP Interconnect, Session Border Control and Applications wins at customers such as BT and Orange.

Hiscock has more than 20 years of sales experience in the telecommunications industry.
