CommScope posts 18% drop in sales to $2.03 bn in first quarter

CommScope Holding reported 18 percent drop in sales revenue to $2.03 billion in the first quarter of 2020 – despite the contribution of $1.03 billion from the ARRIS acquisition.
CommScope ChinaThe US-based networking company estimates that sales were negatively impacted by approximately $70 million related to supply chain disruptions as a result of COVID-19, as well as certain other COVID-19 related disruptions.

CommScope has generated net loss of $159.9 million in the first quarter, a decrease from the prior year period’s net loss of $2.3 million.

CommScope generated revenue of $613.4 million (–20 percent) from Broadband Networks including Network Cable & Connectivity and Network & Cloud.

CommScope generated revenue of $601.4 million (–27 percent) from Home Networks including In-Home Video & Broadband Connectivity Devices).

CommScope generated revenue of $348.9 million (–10.7 percent) from Outdoor Wireless Networks including Macro Tower Solutions and Metro Cell Solutions).

CommScope generated revenue of $469.5 million (–5.9 percent) from Venue and Campus Networks including Enterprise which includes Indoor Copper and Fiber Connectivity, DCCS which includes DAS and OneCell, and Ruckus Networks).
