Ciena reports $716 million revenue in Q4

Ciena’s 6500 Packet-Optical PlatformNetworking company Ciena has reported revenue of $716.2 million in the fiscal fourth quarter 2016 as compared to $692 million for the fiscal fourth quarter 2015.

Ciena has reported revenue of $2.6 billion for fiscal year 2016 as compared to $2.4 billion for fiscal year 2015.

Ciena’s net income for the fiscal fourth quarter 2016 was $36.6 million against a net loss of $13.8 million for the fiscal fourth quarter 2015.

For fiscal year 2016, Ciena had a net income of $72.6 million which compares to a net income of $11.7 million for fiscal year 2015.

“We believe that the combination of our leading technology, strategic investments, global scale and business diversification will enable us to continue to take market share and drive operating leverage in fiscal 2017,” said Gary Smith, president and CEO, Ciena.
