TelecomLead Awards 2017: TelecomLead Chipset Company – Intel

intelThe jury of TelecomLead Awards 2017 has decided to present TelecomLead Chipset Company award to Intel for the company’s strategies, partnerships and technology innovation in the IoT space.

After grappling with the slowing PC market, Intel has increased its focus on IoT, which is identified as one of the strong growth areas in today’s digital world. Intel’s IoT portfolio grew up 26 percent at $720 million in the latest quarter (Q2 2017-18) whereas it grew 11 percent in the first quarter.  Recently Intel made significant changes to its IoT portfolio with focus on supplying processors, sensors and wireless connectivity to IoT devices, primarily for industry verticals such as retail, industrial and video.

In addition to Intel, TelecomLead Chipset Company award will be given to Qualcomm for its contribution in the 4G space.

TelecomLead Awards Jury details

Satya N Gupta, Jury Chairman and Jury Members including Ravindra Kr Mishra, Rakesh Mehrotra, Girish Trivedi and Baburajan Kizhakedath decided the winners of the TelecomLead Awards 2017 through two rounds of jury meeting in June / July 2017.
