OPPO India, which has presence in North America, Europe and Asia, recently said it would target to set up 200 service centers in the next one year. OPPO currently retails in 12 major cities – New Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Jaipur, Chandigarh, Ludhiana, Kolkata, Pune and Lucknow.

Recently OPPO launched its 3G-enabled budget smartphone OPPO Joy in the Indian mobile phone market, targeting the young generation and first-time smartphone users.

Analysys Mason recently said Chinese smartphone manufacturers are well positioned to dominate the worldwide market. 1.3 billion smartphones will be sold in China in the next 5 years. Assuming an average selling price of $50–100, the Chinese smartphone market will generate between $65 billion and $130 billion in that period.

“China’s smartphone vendors like Coolpad, Meizu, Oppo and Xiaomi will use this revenue to drive international expansion,” said Ronan de Renesse, principal analyst for Analysys Mason.
