Micromax, Aircel to announce tie-up

Micromax, India’s top smartphone vendor, and telecom operator Aircel, will announce their strategic alliance shortly.

Further details will be shared on 25 September at a press meet in Delhi.

The press meet — to announce a strategic partnership — will be attended by Aircel CMO Anupam Vasudev and Micromax co-founder Vikas Jain.

Micromax is in the process of expanding its smartphone and tablet devices in the country.

Globally, Maxis, investor of Aircel, has several phone bundling alliances with smartphone vendors. Maxis is one of the leading telecom service providers in Malaysia.
