Ahmed Yahia will step down as Chairman and Board member after more than a decade in the position. Tim Breen, currently the Chief Operating Officer, will assume his new role, while Niels Anderskouv, Chief Business Officer, has been named President and COO. These changes will take effect on April 28, 2025, marking a significant shift in GF’s leadership as the company prepares for its next phase of growth.

Since becoming President and CEO in 2018, Thomas Caulfield has repositioned GF’s technology portfolio to focus on differentiated, essential chips, leading the company to sustainable profitability. He also played a pivotal role in GF’s 2021 IPO, one of the largest in semiconductor history. In his new role as Executive Chairman, he will continue to provide strategic oversight.

Tim Breen, who has been with GF since 2018, has led global operations, including manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and IT, as COO since 2023. Before that, he held senior roles in strategy, business transformation, and finance, working closely with the CEO.

Prior to GF, he was a senior executive at Mubadala Investment Company, where he managed global investments across various industries and played a key role in building multi-billion-dollar enterprises. Tim Breen’s extensive leadership experience also includes serving on the boards of several public and private companies, including as Chairman of NOVA Chemicals. Earlier in his career, after earning his degree from London Business School, he was a partner at McKinsey & Company.

Niels Anderskouv, who joined GF in 2023 as Chief Business Officer, will oversee product and technology roadmaps, business and commercial strategy, and go-to-market execution as President and COO.

With over 25 years of experience in engineering, manufacturing, and executive leadership in the semiconductor industry, he previously served as Senior Vice President and Executive Officer at Texas Instruments, leading the company’s Analog Power business. He holds a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from the Technical University of Denmark (DTU) in Copenhagen.
