Top five broadband service providers in 2014 June: TRAI

Top five broadband service providers in India, according to TRAI data for June 2014, are BSNL with 18.53 million users, Bharti Airtel 14.76 million, Vodafone 10.30 million, Idea Cellular 8.78 million and Reliance Communications 6.11 million.

TRAI today said top five wired broadband service providers are BSNL with 9.98 million users, Bharti Airtel 1.39 million, MTNL 1.13 million, Beam Telecom 0.40 million and YOU Broadband 0.39 million.

Top five wireless broadband service providers are Bharti with 13.38 million users, Vodafone 10.30 million, Idea Cellular 8.78 million, BSNL 8.55 million and Reliance Communications 6 million.

TRAI said broadband subscribers increased 5.35 percent to 68.83 million in June 2014 from 65.33 million in May 2014.

Out of this, wired subscribers were 14.97 million and mobile devices users (Phones + Dongles) 53.44 million, said TRAI.
