Telness Tech and Priceagent Partner for Data-Driven Telecom Pricing

Telness Tech has partnered with Priceagent to provide MVNOs with real-time consumer pricing insights, enabling mobile virtual network operators to test consumer willingness to pay for bundles, features, and 5G plans before launch. The Priceagent tool, initially offered as a partner service, will be integrated into Telness Tech’s product management platform so MVNOs can run live pricing studies directly through the dashboard. Telness Tech’s platform covers e-commerce, billing, app management, and customer operations, and the integration of Priceagent’s pricing intelligence allows operators to determine optimal plan prices and accelerate product launches.

Ceragon Wins $8mn Deal to Modernize Private Power Utility Network in EMEA

Ceragon has secured an $8 million contract to modernize a private communications network for a leading power utility in the EMEA region. The project began in early 2025 and includes replacing legacy equipment, increasing network capacity, and expanding coverage. Ceragon will deploy indoor and split-mount radios to enable nationwide connectivity. The company has already received orders covering 75 percent of the project scope and recognized 50 percent of the expected revenue in the first half of 2025. Work is being delivered in phases, with the first phase underway and further upgrades planned by the end of 2025. The utility selected Ceragon after a technical evaluation process.

Africa Adopts Internet Resilience Framework to Strengthen Networks

The African Telecommunications Union (ATU), Internet Society (ISOC), and AFRINIC have introduced a Model Framework for Building Internet Resilience in Africa, covering networks and internet service providers, critical infrastructure, and market conditions influencing affordability and demand. Governments and regulators are encouraged to adopt the model and require operators, including electricity utilities, mobile network operators, ISPs, Internet Exchange Points, and country-code domain registries, to prepare resilience plans within one year. Plans must be updated annually, aligned with continuity or recovery strategies, and incorporate redundancy, resourcefulness, and rapid recovery. The initiative follows major disruptions, including the West Africa cable snap in March 2024, a subsea fiber cut in KwaZulu-Natal, and a nationwide power outage in Kenya.
