Eutelsat and G&S SatCom Automate OneWeb LEO Network Provisioning
Eutelsat Network Solutions and G&S SatCom have launched an upgraded Online Management Tool that gives government users greater control over connectivity delivered through the OneWeb low-Earth-orbit constellation. Powered by G&S SatConnect, the platform lets authorised customers plan requirements, provision new connectivity, establish LEO configurations, manage user permissions and rapidly modify services as operational requirements change. The system also supports shared-capacity pools and simultaneous operating models. A unified dashboard provides service, usage, statistical and performance information to improve network-management decisions. Importantly, automation replaces previously manual provisioning processes, reducing administrative overhead and shortening service activation. The deployment illustrates the broader shift toward software-defined orchestration as LEO satellite networks become more deeply integrated with government and enterprise communications.
CPI Wins First Order for Multi-Orbit Tactical Satellite Terminal
Communications & Power Industries has received the first order for its MOCAT Ultra-Heavy-Duty tactical satellite terminal, with the end customer being a branch of the US military. The ruggedised system supports transmit and receive operations across LEO, MEO and GEO satellites, covering frequencies from L-band through Ka-band. CPI expects follow-on orders. The new version provides a reinforced pedestal and additional payload capacity for demanding electronic-warfare applications. CPI recently demonstrated a 2.4-metre MOCAT antenna at the US Army’s Aberdeen Proving Ground, where personnel completed tool-free assembly and achieved satellite acquisition within minutes. The terminal’s multi-orbit capability reflects increasing demand for communications systems that can switch among different satellite constellations rather than depend on a single network.
NexPhase Invests in EVERYWHERE Communications to Expand Hybrid Satellite-Cellular Platform
NexPhase Capital has invested in EVERYWHERE Communications, a mission-critical connectivity company serving customers in more than 175 countries. Financial terms were not disclosed. EVERYWHERE combines satellite, cellular, Wi-Fi and other networks with messaging, location monitoring, geofencing, automated safety workflows and operational intelligence. Customers span government, utilities, mining, energy and humanitarian organisations operating in locations where conventional mobile connectivity may be unavailable or unreliable. NexPhase plans to invest in go-to-market operations, customer success and product development, while EVERYWHERE will also evaluate acquisitions that could broaden its communications capabilities. NexPhase typically targets equity investments of $40 million to $225 million and has completed more than 100 investments, while managing approximately $2.6 billion since inception.
