AST SpaceMobile Secures $1.15 Billion to Accelerate Direct-to-Device Satellite Expansion

AST SpaceMobile has completed its private offering of $1.15 billion in 1.625 percent convertible senior notes due 2034 after the initial purchasers fully exercised their option to acquire an additional $150 million in notes. The financing strengthens the company’s balance sheet, increasing its pro forma cash, cash equivalents, and restricted cash to more than $3.8 billion as of June 30, 2026. AST SpaceMobile said the proceeds will support growth initiatives, expand access to launch capacity, and advance partnerships or acquisitions that strengthen its direct-to-device satellite broadband business. The company also completed capped call transactions designed to reduce shareholder dilution while maintaining an effective conversion price of $149.20 per share.
