T-Mobile signs Ericsson to improve its business and IT billing processes

Telecom network vendor Ericsson today announced billing deal with T-Mobile to improve its business and IT billing processes.

Further subscriber growth and market differentiation will assist T-Mobile and MetroPCS customers to improve revenues.

The billing agreement includes a long-term managed services agreement for Service Agility based on Ericsson’s pre-integrated OSS/BSS software suite.

Ericsson, which earlier in the day announced a deal with Taiwan Mobile, will assist T-Mobile to introduce new services with better customer satisfaction. Ericsson said T-Mobile customers will gain real-time billing visibility and control over account service changes. The main benefit is reduced operational costs for T-Mobile.

Neville Ray, chief technology officer for T-Mobile, said: “The work now underway with Ericsson will enhance our infrastructure and deliver an even better experience to our customers.”
