Telecom Lead India: ZengaTV,a mobile TV service provider in India has partnered with ETV network to
strengthen its regional content offering.
The new tie-up with ETV network will allow the viewers to
watch all the 12 channels from the ETV stable for free. With the addition of
ETV network, the company’s offering has reached to 100 channels.
This partnership has further strengthened our commitment to
offer our viewers the best of entertainment through mobile screens including
mobiles, laptops and tabs. The 12 channels from ETV group give us the chance to
offer viewers regional channels and to reach out to those who are more glued to
channels pertaining to their mother tongue. Our focus in future will be to add
more regional channels to our platform,” said Shabir Momiin, CEO, ZengaTV.
ETV Network’s, bouquet of 12 regional channels are source of
rich infotainment to audiences in the language of their choice: ETV Telugu,
ETV2, ETV Bangla, ETV Marathi, ETV Kannada, ETV Oriya, ETV Gujarati, ETV Urdu,
ETV Uttar Pradesh, ETV Rajasthan, ETV Bihar and ETV Madhya Pradesh.
The company claims that it leads the 2.5 G mobile video streaming market with 55 million
video views month on month at an average viewership of over 12 minutes.
Last year, the company achieved 6.5 million per month on an
average and grabbed 55 million unique users per month. This year, the company
has already crossed 7 million unique viewers per month.
Recently, Zenga TV announced that it achieved
421 million video views across different channels compared to less than 150
million video views in 2010.
The company is planning to introduce Hollywood movies
along with the content from European, Middle – eastern and Australian region
through Zenga TV. Furthermore, the company is expanding its
collection with old Hindi movies that are not generally available with
websites.
