SingTel’s Loop & Meet mobile app allows users to organize outings with friends

Telecom Lead Asia: Singapore Telecommunications (SingTel) has launched Loop & Meet, a mobile app that allows users to organize outings with friends.

GobaEngage platform is powering the Loop & Meet app.

The platform allows organizations to create corporation-specific apps or include GobaEngage features within their existing apps that have been proven to engage users via their mobile devices.

“In a world becoming increasingly dependent upon mobile technology, our drive is to leverage the momentum around the social-mobile experience to facilitate real, needed personal interaction. Goba is honored to be partnered with SingTel to bring this innovative vision to their mobile subscribers,” said John Dayani, CEO, Goba.

Loop & Meet app enables users to browse through thousands of events that are refreshed daily from SingTel’s event and content aggregation portal inSing.com. These events have been categorized for easy browsing: movies, music, leisure, night out, arts, festivals and family.

The Loop & Meet service allows users to invite friends that do not have the app via SMS, email, Facebook, or Twitter. Recipients can then use the SMS and web platforms to confirm attendance and chat with registered users, even if they have not installed the app.

Moreover, Loop & Meet will help to track the responses and send invitees reminders if they do not respond.  This will make it easier for all users to keep track of the full event itinerary, time, place and attendees.

Loop & Meet is available for free download from the Apple App Store and Google Play store and initially for use in Singapore.
