ZTE supplies FDD-LTE infrastructure to Algerie Telecom for 4G services in 14 provinces

Chinese telecom network vendor ZTE today said it supplied FDD-LTE infrastructure to Algerie Telecom for rolling out 4G services in 14 provinces, including the capital city Alger.

On Tuesday, Ericsson announced that it supported the Algeria government-owned telecom operator to launch the first 4G services in the North African mobile phone market.

Broadband network infrastructure construction is a focus area in Algeria to increase the country’s telecommunications capacity and broadband network coverage.

China Mobile, China Telecom, Hutchison, KPN, Telenor, TeliaSonera, Vodafone, VimpelCom and Bharti Airtel are some of the 4G clients of ZTE.
