SkyVision acquires Afinis from Monaco Telecom

Telecom Lead Middle-East:  SkyVision Global Networks, a provider of IP
connectivity over satellite and fiber optic networks throughout Africa, has
acquired Afinis Communication from Monaco Telecom, which is a subsidiary of
Cable & Wireless Communications.

Valued at $3.3 million, the acquisition of Afinis brings
complementary and valuable capabilities to SkyVision, providing immediate
benefits to its potential and existing customer base.

Afinis provides connectivity solutions in francophone Africa
and specializes in direct sales to corporate market segments.

With local offices and licensing in Burkina Faso, Guinea and
Senegal, Afinis focuses on markets such as Energy, Mining, Finance as well as
Telcos and International Institutions.

All local offices of Afinis will now be owned by SkyVision
and will carry the SkyVision brand.

The acquisition of Afinis brings complementary and valuable
capabilities to SkyVision, providing immediate benefits to its potential and
existing customer base.

Speaking on the acquisition, Doron Ben-Sira, CEO of
SkyVision Global Networks said the company will utilize Afinis’ knowledge,
particularly in Oil & Gas, mining and financial services.

He added that the acquisition supports SkyVision’s goal of
firmly establishing the company as one of largest satellite operators in
emerging markets offering true Pan-African coverage and presence.

The acquisition will further help SkyVision to strengthen
its market position in Nigeria, East, Central and Southern Africa.The company
reckons that the transaction will help it expand into these and surrounding
markets.

Denis Martin, CEO of CWC’s Monaco & Islands business
said that SkyVision has built a good reputation for satellite communications in
Africa, and Afinis customers will benefit from the combined business’ increased
scale and strong customer service.

SkyVision Launches iDirect Evolution Network to Expand VSAT
Coverage in Africa

Last year, SkyVision Global Networks expanded its VSAT
coverage in Africa by launching an iDirect Evolution network.
