SingTel enterprise customers can now enjoy data transfers of up to 10Gbps

Telecom Lead Asia: Singapore Telecommunications (SingTel)
said its enterprise customers can now enjoy data transfers of up to 10Gbps.

Leveraging SingTel’s ConnectPlus suite of connectivity
services, businesses in Asia, Europe and the U.S. can benefit as the
intelligent network detects faults and automatically switch data traffic to
backup routes via a sophisticated control plane within 50 milliseconds.

Goh Boon Huat, SingTel’s Vice President of Business
Products, said SingTel is the first service provider in Asia Pacific to deploy
MPLS – TP globally. This allows enterprises to increase their bandwidth by
increments of 1Mbps, thereby offering them more cost-effective connections.

Next year, SingTel will leverage this platform to deliver
dedicated point-to-multipoint and electronic Bandwidth-On-Demand (eBOD) for
E-Line services.

Recently, SingTel also launched the ConnectPlus Ultra Low
Latency service as well as the eBOD for ConnectPlus IP VPN.  With
connections to more than 80 global cities including key developing markets in
Asia, SingTel ConnectPlus delivers  a comprehensive range of global
connectivity solutions to meet the different network requirements of
businesses.

Delivered over SingTel’s meshed network of submarine
cable assets, the Automatically Switching Optical Network (ASON) and the
Multi-Protocol Label Switching – Transport Profile (MPLS-TP) use the latest
technologies to achieve greater resiliency and scalability for SingTel’s
ConnectPlus International Private Leased Circuit (IPLC) and Ethernet Line
(E-Line) services.

SingTel claims that businesses will be able to minimize
the impact of breakages due to cable cuts, earthquakes and network outages.
This will allow them to stay connected to their worldwide offices without any
disruption to their activities.
