Ruckus Wireless said two mobile network operators (MNOs) in the United States have tested the latest innovation that will be integrated as standard features within the Ruckus Smart Wi-Fi products to ensure crystal clear Wi-Fi Calling voice quality.

“The innovations improve the reliability and quality of Wi-Fi Calling applications, which enables both service providers and enterprises to extract greater value from their Wi-Fi infrastructure,” said Dan Rabinovitsj, chief operating officer at Ruckus Wireless.

The main features of the Ruckus Smart Wi-Fi technology include capacity-based client access control, Wi-Fi multimedia admission controls, directed roaming, and automatic packet flow heuristics. The company promises that Smart Wi-Fi innovations will ensure optimal performance of voice over Wi-Fi communications.

Ruckus Smart Wi-Fi firmware, supported by Ruckus ZoneDirector Smart WLAN controllers, Ruckus SmartCell Gateway (SCG) and virtual SmartCell Gateway (vSCG), and ZoneFlex Smart Wi-Fi access points will feature the latest Wi-Fi calling technology.
