McAfee enhances deal registration program in India

McAfee announced enhancements to its Commercial and
Enterprise deal registration program, as part of its continued effort to create
programs that can increase channel partner profitability.

This program rewards partners for securing incremental
new business and is being enhanced based on a successful pilot where
participating partners experienced increased margins and faster approvals.

As a longtime McAfee partner, MIEL e-Security is excited
to see these deal registration program enhancements,” said Anuj Gupta, director,
MIEL e-security.

McAfee’s automated Deal Registration procedure will help
MIEL to accelerate its business development initiatives. The 25 percent margin
on deal registration is certainly the highest in the industry; and is
reflective of the company’s focus on partner profitability.

This is the largest investment in partner profitability
in the company’s history, confirming our commitment to channel partner
profitability,” said Alex Thurber, senior vice president of worldwide channels
at McAfee.

We continue to aggressively evolve our partner programs
and incentives because the opportunity to secure the connected world with our
partners and for our customers has never been greater.  Today we are
changing the game and setting a new standard in margin protection within the
security industry,” Thurber added.

Generating and winning new customers extends the sales
cycle and impacts partner profitability, especially if the deal is lost in the
final phase due to pricing. The McAfee deal registration program allows channel
partners to protect margin when prospecting and managing new opportunities.

McAfee
is increasing its existing deal registration to provide Elite, Premier and
Select channel partners up to 25 percent in margin protection on new registered
deals and up to ten percent on upgrades for various McAfee solution suites.
Associate partner can also take advantage of a limited version of the program
with up to ten percent margin protection.
