Huawei targets enterprise biz to contribute 15% revenue by 2017

Huawei Technologies is targeting its enterprise business to contribute 15 percent of the company’s revenue by 2017 against 5 percent at present.

The Chinese telecom and enterprise equipment maker considers enterprise as one of the fastest growing segments.

Huawei Technologies it aims to double its total revenues to $ 70 billion by 2017 compared with $35 billion in 2012.

“We achieved a revenue of $35 billion in 2012 and going forward, we are anticipating 10 per cent CAGR (compound annual growth rate) to achieve revenue of $ 70 billion in five years,” said Huawei Technologies Vice President and Head of International Media Affairs Scott Sykes.

Contribution of the telecom network equipment business will be reduced to 55 percent in the next five years from 75 percent.

The revenue share of consumer business group will increase to 30 percent, from 20 percent.

In 2012, around 70 percent of the firm’s revenue came from outside China, including $ 1 billion from India.
