Electro Sales Corporation has announced the roll out of its cloud datacenter -Merino Cloud’ for SMEs in New Delhi, in partnership with Merino Services Limited (MSL). Merino Cloud, based on high performance
cloud optimized storage systems from EMC, will offer Software-as-a-Service
(Saas), Platform-as-a-Service (Paas) and Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) to
customers.
Merino Cloud will enable customers to leverage the full benefits of cloud computing by
giving them access to managed hosting services, cloud hosting services and
co-location services. The Merino Cloud will provide SMEs automated tools for
monitoring, troubleshooting, optimization, capacity planning and reporting to
manage the complete storage environment, enabling them to manage backup even
without any access to 24X7 operations and skilled workforce.
Through Merino Cloud, Electro Sales Corporation aims to provide a public cloud datacenter for the SME segment, which can serve as proof-of-concept centre as well as a test and demonstration centre where all the components of the cloud infrastructure can be demonstrated as a single solution. Through these services, customers will be able to bring in their applications and host them on the cloud and test their performance on live or test environments. Customers will also be able to check SSL VPN and IPSec VPN functionality and performance and test their applications on this datacenter.
Other offerings include services/products such as dedicated hosted exchange server, dedicated hosted Windows small business server, hosted virtual desktop PCs, hosted primary/ additional domain controller, hosted applications such as accounting, inventory, SFA, CRM, expense management, Workflow, hosted customized applications through web
services or terminal services and secondary DNS servers.
