SkyStream renews deal with SES for VSAT networks

Telecom Lead America: SkyStream has renewed a multi-year deal on SES’ NSS-6 satellite at 95 degrees East to provide connectivity to its maritime, and oil & gas customers via VSAT networks

SkyStream will utilize the Ku-band capacity on the SES satellite to deliver corporate VPN services across Iraq, Afghanistan and other key countries.

Riyadh Al Adely, managing director at SkyStream, said: “The latest deal with SES reaffirms our continued commitment to provide our customers with premium cost-effective capacity and will allow us to extend our VSAT business across the region.”

Deepak Mathur, senior vice president, Commercial, Asia-Pacific & the Middle East at SES, said: “The latest renewal agreement reaffirms the strong partnership that SES and SkyStream have enjoyed in the past decade. We will continue to work closely with SkyStream to enable them to grow their corporate networks into new regions.”
