Virgin Media O2 Internet is down for several users

Virgin Media O2, owned by Liberty Global and Telefonica, has admitted its broadband users have faced disruptions in Internet services in the UK.
Virgin Media and O2Virgin Media’s broadband customers reported widespread problems with their internet access. Virgin Media has 5,653,800 broadband customers at the end of 2022. Virgin Media has invested £2.1 billion in 2022.

There were more than 28,000 reports of Virgin Media outages on the Downdetector website as of Tuesday morning, beginning in the early hours, with most users reporting that their internet was not working.

“We’re aware of an issue that is affecting broadband services for Virgin Media customers as well as our contact centers,” Virgin Media said on Twitter.

“Our teams are currently working to identify and fix the problem as quickly as possible and we apologize to those customers affected.”

Virgin Media’s website and online status checker earlier went down but is now back online, so internet customers can check their broadband, landline and TV service status.
