Tata Docomo (Tata Teleservices) announced free tablet worth Rs 40,000 with costly broadband plans.
Broadband users need to take 100 Mbps annual plan to get a Rs 40,000 priced tablet.
Tata Docomo did not share the name of the tablet.
There’s also cost effective broadband plan and users can get budget tablet priced at Rs 5,000 — free.
Both offers will be applicable till 30 September 2013.

Tata has around 0.58 percent market share in the Indian broadband market.
Tata Docomo says the free tablets enable — coupled with wired broadband connection — consumers to instantly access services such as video-on-demand, online games, apps, etc.
“Internet Services is fast becoming the basic necessity of the consumers and we also believe that high speed internet is an empowering tool in the hands of consumers. In a multi-device environment, our proposition of high speed broadband along with an attractive tablet is an exciting proposition for the consumer,” said Prateek Pashine, president, SME Business, Tata Docomo.
Recently, Airtel said it would launch 4G services in Delhi. Airtel’s 4G is at present available in Kolkata, Bangalore, Pune and Chandigarh.
Reliance Jio Infocomm would launch 4G on TD-LTE network early next year competing with companies such as Bharti Airtel, Reliance Jio, Reliance Communications, BSNL, etc.
BSNL is the undisputed leader in the Indian broadband market with a share of 61 percent, as per TRAI data.
