Ong Geok Chwee appointed CEO of Bridge Alliance

Mobile operator alliance Bridge Alliance has appointed Ong Geok Chwee as its new chief executive officer.

Bridge Alliance represents 34 operators and their 800 million customers in the Asia Pacific, Middle East and Africa. The alliance aims to deliver savings and benefits by leveraging group economies and build capabilities.

Ong Geok Chwee, who joins Bridge Alliance with more than 20 years of experience in the infocomm technology industry, has driven business and market development for emerging technologies and businesses in large and companies like Singtel.

“I am backed by a strong team of leaders as we transit to the next phase. Innovation and partnerships with our member operators will fuel the alliance’s growth in the exciting and dynamic age of global connectivity,” said Ong Geok Chwee.

Bridge Alliance’s members include: Airtel, AIS, CSL Mobile, CTM, Globe Telecom, Maxis, MobiFone, Optus, Singtel, SK Telecom, STC, SoftBank, Taiwan Mobile, Telkomcel, Telkomsel, Turk Telekom, and Viva.
