Excitel has started broadband operations in the city of Kanpur and Lucknow offering affordable plans without FUP limits.
“We aim to go to every underserved area of Tier 1, Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities which till now have been mostly neglected by telecoms,” Vivek Raina, co-founder and CEO of Excitel, said in a statement.
Excitel said its more than 50 percent of broadband customers are on FTTH. It aims to sell only FTTH services by the end of 2020.
Excitel said it is currently delivering 600 Gigabits of Internet data over a fiber network of 20,000 km including partners’ broadband networks to close to 3.9 lakh households across India.
