AT&T leads in connectivity with a new device that combines high-speed AT&T Business Fiber and 5G wireless for automatic failover, ensuring continuous connection during rare fiber outages.

The device offers automatic failover to AT&T’s 5G network when fiber service is interrupted, providing seamless internet continuity.

“Internet backup for businesses is not a new concept but automating it through hardware and software consolidation is novel. Service-oriented businesses with multiple locations are ideal candidates for this new AT&T offering,” Will Townsend, Principal Analyst, Moor Insights & Strategy, said.

Equipped with Wi-Fi 6E, the gateway supports faster speeds, lower latencies, and a wider connection range.

Available to new AT&T Business Fiber customers ordering speeds of 1 Gbps or higher in states including Arkansas, California, Kansas, Missouri, Nevada, Oklahoma, and Texas.

The gateway reduces deployment costs and complexity, ideal for businesses needing consistent, reliable internet to avoid revenue loss or productivity dips.

AT&T says customers of AT&T Business Fiber and 5G wireless can save $30 per month. The price of AT&T Business Fiber is $40 per month for 300Mbps speed, $80 for 500Mbps speed and $130 for 1Gig.

This innovation aligns with AT&T’s investment in fiber and mobile networks, making connectivity more resilient and efficient for small to large businesses.

“The introduction of our first-ever integrated device marks a transformative step in defining the future of connectivity,” said Mike Troiano, Senior Vice President, Business Products, AT&T Business.
