Singtel to invest S$45 mn to add digital job skills to employees

Singtel is investing S$45 million over three years to add digital skills to its 12,600 employees in Singapore.
Singtel program on digital skillsSingtel said over 600 employees have undergone skills conversion in the past year to take on new roles through initiatives like the Professional Conversion Program and Company-Led Training programs. Another 1,000 employees are expected to do so by early 2020.

“The ACT initiative is designed to help our employees deepen their digital capabilities as we accelerate our digital transformation efforts,” Aileen Tan, group chief human resources officer at Singtel, said.

Singtel and the Union of Telecoms Employees of Singapore (UTES) signed a 3-year agreement to implement the ACT initiative.
