Bytemobile India country manager Deepak Mahajan resigns

manager for India and SAARC, Bytemobile, has stepped down. He served Bytemobile, a
provider of video optimization and Smart Capacity solutions for mobile network
operators, for more than two years.

I am currently serving the notice period. I will be joining
a new company in a couple of months,” Deepak Mahajan told Telecom Lead.

At Bytemobile, Deepak was responsible for P&L
responsibility for India and SAARC telecom markets operation. Moreover, his
responsible include giving a strategic direction for rapid growth of the
company with the objective of becoming most preferred vendor for all its
clients in this space.

He lead evaluating additional horizontal businesses in
mobile market, developing new alliances for acquiring skills for high-tech
project implementation, creating value added services and new relationships. He
looked after the entry of Bytemobile into new markets within the India
sub-continent.

Before joining Bytemobile, Deepak was with Motorola India as
head of Marketing & Business development for the Home Networks &
Enterprise Mobility (HN&EM) Business. At Motorola India, where he worked
for more than 6 years, Deepak was responsible for marketing, strategy and
marketing communications.

Deepak also worked with Ericsson for more than 8 years. At
Ericsson, Deepak was responsible for setting up of separate global services
business unit in India. He was also responsible for Sales, business
development, strategic and tactical planning and contract management activities
related to Ericsson Global Services. Apart from this, Deepak also worked as
regional manager for Ericsson Mobile phones division for 4 years.

Bytemobile and China Comservice form JV to drive mobile data
traffic management opportunities

Recently, Bytemobile and China Communications Services,
China’s integrated services provider for the telecom sector, announced the
formation of a joint venture to address opportunities in the network
optimization market in China.

The new company will provide traffic management and data
optimization solutions and services to operators throughout the country.
