Airtel offers iPhone 7 with free 120 GB data worth Rs 30,000

airtel-pre-paid-plan-in-indiaTelecom network operator Bharti Airtel will offer iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus, the latest smartphones from Apple, in India, with free mobile data plans.

Customers can order iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus now and both will be available in retail shops and online at Airtel website.

Airtel is offering 10 GB of free 4G / 3G data per month for one year with any Airtel Infinity postpaid plan to buyers of iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus. The free data benefit will be over and above the plan benefits. Over the duration of one year, iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus users on Airtel Infinity plans will get additional 120 GB 4G / 3G data.

The cost of the 120 GB of 3G / 4G data is Rs 30,000. Coming in silver, gold, rose gold and the new black finish (jet black), iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus are available in 32GB, 128GB and 256GB models, starting at Rs 60,000.

The telecom network operator said Airtel Infinity postpaid plans offer unlimited voice calling – local, STD, and on national roaming – along with bundled 4G / 3G data, SMS and free subscription to Wynk Music and Wynk Movies. For details visit Airtel Infinity postpaid plans website.

“Customers can now enjoy the latest iPhone on India’s leading mobile broadband network with bundles of data and unlimited voice calling with our Infinity plans,” said Ajai Puri, director Operations (India & South Asia), Bharti Airtel.

Apple iPhone 7 lands in India

The month-long wait to grab an iPhone 7 is set to come to an end on Friday as Apple enthusiasts who pre-ordered their devices began queuing up at Apple flagship and retail stores where the devices are now available.

The much awaited iPhone 7 is making its India debut at 7 p.m. across the country.

E-tailer Flipkart said it is ready to make deliveries right at customers’ doorsteps from 7 p.m.

“Thousands of customers across India have pre-ordered the iPhone from Flipkart. Ekart, Flipkart’s supply chain arm, has readied a full force of delivery executives to make sure its customers get hold of their phones right from 7 pm today,” the company said in a statement.

Flipkart CEO Binny Bansal will be among the executives to deliver iPhone 7 in Bengaluru.

The iPhone 7 — launched at a grand US event on September 7 — was first made available in 28 countries on September 16.

iPhone 7 features breakthrough new camera systems, the best battery life ever in an iPhone and water and dust resistance. The device also has a dual core processor with GPU that is up to two times faster.
