Three UK taps Polystar for VoLTE monitoring capabilities

VoLTE users to grow at 145 percent CAGR from 2012 to 2017
Telecom network operator Three UK has selected Polystar Network and Customer Insight solutions to deliver monitoring and reporting capabilities for its Voice over LTE (VoLTE) services.

Polystar Network and Customer Insight solutions provide monitoring and assurance capabilities for the VoLTE service, spanning IMS controlled voice and text, as well as SRVCC for handover to the 3G network.

Three’s IP Multi-media Subsystem (IMS) platform, which delivers the VoLTE service, can be used to support complementary services such as voice over WiFi (VoWiFi).

Three UK will benefit from analytics tools by offering Customer Insight data to front-line customer care teams, while delivering Network Insight data to access rich network information.

The UK-based telecoms can integrate existing CRM system to use the existing CRM platform and benefit from data provided by the Network and Customer Insight solutions.

Three UK aims to analyze and assure call quality over any connected domain including LTE, WiFi, 3G and 2G networks.

Anna Konberg, regional sales director at Polystar, said: “Real-time network monitoring and performance management is essential for delivering the best customer experience.”

Three carries 42 percent of the UK’s mobile data and its network covers 98 percent of the UK population. Three UK, a member of CK Hutchison Holdings, has 347 retail stores.
