AT&T bags 4-year deal from FEMA to modernize telecom

AT&T
AT&T has bagged a four-year contract from the U.S. Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) to modernize communications for improving collection, validation and processing of claims for disaster survivors.

The American wireless operator will provide interactive voice response capabilities and contact center services that scale to accommodate surging traffic volumes during disasters.

AT&T has tied up with Interactive Intelligence as subcontractor to provide FEMA the software-based solution.

FEMA awarded the contract to AT&T under the General Services Administration’s Networx Universal contracting program for telecommunications services.
