Optus opts for NetCracker and NEC for OSS upgrade program

Australian telecom service provider Optus has decided to select NetCracker Technology and NEC for an upgrade program.

The Singapore Telecommunications (SingTel) subsidiary will upgrade its OSS Systems focusing on Optus’ consumer and business wireless, broadband, enterprise data, voice, and ICT services and IP telephony. The scope of the OSS work will cover service fulfillment, service order management, network configuration and activation.

Besides new OSS capabilities based on its NetCracker 9.0 suite, NetCracker will provide professional services to Optus including program management and governance; solution implementation and integration; systems consolidation; data migration; legacy system decommissioning; and testing, support, and training.
