Menatelecom taps Elitecore for LTE network along with WiMax

Menatelecom Bahrain has selected Elitecore Technologies, a provider of Integrated Policy, Charging and Revenue Management solutions, to implement its LTE Network roll-out in coexistence with its ongoing WiMAX Network.

Elitecore Technologies’ LTE revenue and customer management platform has enabled Menatelecom to  complete the WiMAX-to-LTE transformation in order to support demands of nearly 200,000 subscribers in the country.

The Elitecore platform assisted Menatelecom for upgrading the existing Elitecore WiMAX platform to support LTE + WiMAX  components through integration with 3rd party Evolved Packet Core (LTE-EPC) components achieving smooth activation of multiple prepaid-postpaid services such as voice, data and bundled offerings (LTE + WiMAX services).

As part of the deal, Elitecore has offered a converged product portfolio enabling the operator to launch new LTE and WiMAX data & voice /IMS services on a single platform while allowing integration between Services and Products for faster time-to-market.

Abdul Razak Jawahery, chairman of Menatelecom, said: “The whole project was delivered meeting our key business requirements of integration with the existing ecosystem, performance optimization and operational efficiencies at minimum Capex and enhance overall customer experience.”
