Allot Communications has launched 3GPP-compliant Traffic Detection Function (TDF) for LTE / 4G networks.
TDF, a part of the 3GPP Release 11 LTE standard, provides better network visibility to better analyze and respond to broadband traffic.
Facing competition from Over the Top (OTT) content providers such as Facebook and Skype, the key for operators to monetize OTT traffic lies in the ability to better analyze and respond to that traffic in real time.
The TDF-enabled Allot Service Gateway enables operators to analyze and monetize OTT traffic by leveraging application awareness and transaction information in order to deploy innovative pricing plans, drive new service revenues and increase customer loyalty.

Allot Communications’ TDF enables CSPs to gain from LTE’s capabilities around QoS and data speeds while leveraging their position in the market to add significant value to OTT offerings.
