Hughes to showcase tactical satellite communications solutions at DSEi 2011

Hughes Network Systems, a global provider of broadband
satellite networks and services, announced that it will showcase some of its
latest commercial satellite communications solutions at this year’s Defence and
Security Equipment International (DSEi) exhibition, which will be held at ExCel
London from 13-16 September 2011.

Beyond-line-of-sight (BLOS) systems and
communications-on-the-move (COTM) solutions for worldwide deployment will be
shown, supporting the requirements of land mobile, maritime, and airborne
high-bandwidth, net-centric communications.

Defence budgets are more austere, yet the need for
intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance is increasingly critical to
mission success,” said Rick Lober, vice president and general manager of Hughes Defence and Intelligence Systems Division.

DSEi attracts nearly 1,300 exhibitors and over 25,000
attendees from 100 countries, including many top- level national defence and
security delegations. It provides a unique opportunity to network with the complete
industry supply chain and gain valuable insights into the future of the defence
industry.

DSEi provides a valuable forum to showcase our
capability to provide robust and cost-effective broadband solutions and
services that meet the demanding requirements of today’s defence and security
sector,” said Christopher Britton, managing director, Hughes Europe.
