Innovation at Vodafone marketing: launches Vodafone Angel store in Mumbai

Telecom Lead India: Vodafone is innovating. The mobile service provider has launched Vodafone Angel store in Mumbai.

The store is managed and run by women employees.

This initiative is in line with Vodafone’s plan to encourage diversity and inclusion at workplace by improving itself by offering its employees with best in industry workplace conditions.

The Vodafone Angel Store is the first Vodafone’s retail outlets anywhere in the country, with only women staff members, including security, pantry staff, customer service resources as well as management level personnel.

“We believe economic empowerment of women is a great building block in social development. The Angel store is Vodafone’s endeavour to provide our women employees with one of the most secure and productive working environments in the city,” said Arvind Vohra, Business Head – Mumbai Circle, Vodafone India.

“Vodafone India has always laid great emphasis on equal rights and opportunities for our employees and our policies encourage women employees to aspire for and achieve their career ambitions.  We are confident the our Angel Store staff members will excel in their tasks and succeed in making this store one of the finest Vodafone stores  in Mumbai,” Vohra added.

Recently, Vodafone India said it is looking at expanding its enterprise business in India. Vodafone Business Service has already gained over 3 million corporate customers in India. It currently provides services to over 60,000 global and national businesses. Vodafone Business Services is an integral and key component of its India growth strategy. Vodafone said its customer experience center (CEC) for enterprises will kick off operations in Mumbai from June 2012.
