Businesses and employees in Noida’s Sector 3 and nearby Delhi border areas are urging the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) to conduct immediate drive tests after prolonged mobile network outages and frequent call drops disrupted daily operations. Users across major telecom networks, including Airtel, Reliance Jio, and Vodafone Idea, reported difficulties making calls, sending messages, and accessing mobile data, forcing some employees to leave their offices to find usable signals. The affected companies say unreliable connectivity is impacting productivity and business continuity. Employees have called for urgent intervention, requesting TRAI to assess network quality and ensure telecom operators improve coverage and service reliability in the affected areas.

Ethio Telecom Explores Inspur Alliance to Fast-Track Ethiopia’s Digital Future

Ethio Telecom is pursuing a strategic partnership with China’s Inspur Software Technology and Shandong Hi-Speed Road & Bridge International Engineering to accelerate Ethiopia’s digital transformation. During high-level discussions led by CEO Frehiwot Tamru, the companies explored combining advanced digital technologies with modern infrastructure development under Ethio Telecom’s “Next Horizon” strategy. The proposed collaboration aims to strengthen digital infrastructure, expand smart technology adoption, and support the country’s long-term digital economy goals. If finalized, the partnership could enhance telecommunications capabilities, improve digital services, and create new opportunities for technology-driven growth while reinforcing Ethiopia’s ambitions to modernize its communications and digital infrastructure.

ITI Lands Rs 856 Crore BSNL Deal to Expand Indigenous 4G Network

ITI Limited has secured a Rs 856.39 crore work order from BSNL to expand the state-owned operator’s indigenous 4G mobile network across western India. The turnkey project includes planning, engineering, supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of 4G infrastructure at 7,613 sites in the West Zone. The contract strengthens India’s Atmanirbhar telecom initiative by supporting the deployment of homegrown 4G technology. ITI previously partnered with Tata Consultancy Services to complete a major BSNL 4G rollout across 23,633 sites in the region, and this latest order further reinforces its role in expanding India’s domestically developed telecom infrastructure and improving mobile connectivity.
