STC and Ericsson Sign Five-Year Agreement to Accelerate 5G and Digital Infrastructure in Saudi Arabia

STC Group, a digital enabler in Saudi Arabia, has signed a new five-year Master Frame Agreement with Ericsson to accelerate the rollout of advanced digital infrastructure and strengthen technology adoption across the Kingdom. The long-term agreement supports Saudi Arabia’s ambitions under Vision 2030 to build a globally competitive digital economy.

Under the agreement, stc Group will leverage Ericsson’s latest portfolio of technologies, including 5G hardware and software, cloud-native solutions, advanced managed services, and comprehensive infrastructure and network support, including third-party product components. The expanded scope is designed to enhance network performance, scalability, and resilience while enabling faster deployment of next-generation digital services.

The partnership builds on a longstanding relationship between stc Group and Ericsson, which includes the deployment of one of Saudi Arabia’s first 5G networks in 2019. Through the new Master Frame Agreement, stc will accelerate nationwide 5G expansion and the rollout of advanced capabilities such as 5G Standalone, 5G Advanced, Massive MIMO, Ericsson Radio System products, cloud-native platforms, and modern network management solutions.

stc Group highlighted that the agreement strengthens its commitment to digital transformation and innovation in Saudi Arabia. By adopting advanced connectivity technologies, the company aims to deliver enhanced customer experiences, support enterprise digitalization, and unlock new business models across industries. The availability of features such as 5G Standalone network slicing will enable differentiated connectivity services and a wide range of consumer and enterprise use cases.

In addition to technology deployment, stc will benefit from Ericsson’s Managed Services capabilities to optimize network operations, improve efficiency, and ensure high service quality. The partnership also supports the development of a future-ready mobile network with a clear path toward 6G readiness and cognitive, self-optimizing networks.
