Foxconn announces investment project in Karnataka, India

Foxconn, one of the leading suppliers to Apple, has announced a major investment in the Karnataka state of India.
Foxconn manufacturingFoxconn has identified 300 acres of land for this purpose near the Bengaluru International Airport, in Doddaballapura and Devanahalli taluks.

Young Liu, Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of Foxconn had a meeting with Murugesh R. Nirani, Minister for Large and Medium Industries and Vandita Sharma, Chief Secretary to Government of Karnataka at Vidhana Soudha.

Foxconn’s Young Liu had discussed investment plans with Basavaraj Bommai, Chief Minister of the State, said the electronics manufacturing project is expected to generate more than 1,00,000 employment opportunities in the next 10 years within the state.

Foxconn is the world’s largest electronics manufacturer, with total revenue exceeding NT$ 6 trillion in 2022. As of last year, it ranks 20th in the Fortune Global 500.
