Sunrise Communication, a Swiss communications provider, today announced 5G for People, the first worldwide offer combining Internet, TV and landline telephony for home and business via 5G.
By launching 5G service in early April, Sunrise had emerged as the first provider to launch its 5G services in Switzerland and Europe.
With 5G for People Sunrise initially plans to focus on “fiber optics over the air” in areas not connected to the fiber optic network.
From today, Sunrise Home Internet offers are available to private customers with 5G – at no extra cost, the company said.
For business customers, Sunrise launched Sunrise Office kick-star, along with Sunrise Internet Box 5G. It is the ideal solution for SMEs and companies with regional offices and supports both Work Smart solutions and Business Cloud PBX telephony.
Sunrise also offers Sunrise TV neo service for Sunrise Home Internet 5G. Customers who opt for Sunrise TV neo max together with a Sunrise Home Internet offer as part of the promotional offer, will get an Apple TV 4K 32 GB including 4K HDMI cable for free.
“Sunrise Internet offers with 5G are now available to everyone, with customers able to benefit from 5G Internet at home and in the office,” said Olaf Swantee, CEO of Sunrise. “The aim is to help customers who only have access to slow Internet connections in particular.”
With new 5G Internet, customers can enjoy the best possible internet connection without worrying about the type of infrastructure – fibre, copper or 5G.
Sunrise has also added 5G to its range of landline network offers (Sunrise Home) at no extra cost. Sunrise Home 5G will automatically be provided to customers where only slow landline network connections are available at their home or office, the company said.
The landline phone is connected to the Sunrise Internet Box 5G directly with the DECT base station. Two Gigabit LAN connections are available for Ethernet connections.
Sunrise boasts the largest 5G network, covering at least 80 percent of the local population in more than 262 towns and cities.
