Sunrise offers unlimited 5G at CHF 19.9 for pre-paid users

Sunrise today revealed that it has become the first telecom service provider in the world to launch an unlimited 5G offer for pre-paid customers.
Sunrise 5G networkSunrise pre-paid customers can enjoy unlimited calling, chatting, and browsing at 5G speeds up to 2 Gbit/s for seven days for a price of CHF 19.9. Sunrise is expanding 5G network in the 3.5 GHz range with up to 2 Gbit/s.

“With the Prepaid Unlimited options for unlimited calling, chatting, and surfing, Sunrise has already redefined the prepaid offer two years ago. Sunrise is now the first global provider to offer its prepaid customers unlimited 5G,” said Olaf Santee, CEO of Sunrise.

While the Prepaid Unlimited 30 and 90 days options offer surfing speeds of up to 300 Mbit/s using 4G, the new Unlimited 7 days option with 5G offers a speed of up to 2 Gbit/s.

Smartphone customers can buy the 5G option by sending “7days” to 5522. Once the seven days have elapsed, the option renews automatically. If the prepaid credit is less than CHF 19.90 when this happens, the option is automatically deactivated. Prepaid Unlimited 7 days is available online at sunrise.ch as well as Sunrise Shops.

Sunrise is already providing over 309 towns/cities with 5G. This figure includes areas where 5G coverage reaches at least 80 percent of the local population.

Sunrise’s 5G coverage will extend to many other areas, including parts of major cities such as Zurich. The current coverage map, with a city and address search feature as well as the list of cities, is available on the Sunrise website.
