NTT Docomo to demo 5G at MWC 2018

NTT Docomo to exit from India
NTT Docomo will exhibit its 5G technology at Mobile World Congress 2018 (MWC 2018) in Barcelona.

Docomo, a leading telecom operator in Japan, is aiming to commercialize 5G services in Japan by 2020.

Docomo will conduct a live Japanese calligraphy demo by 5G Robot, a humanoid robot that uses 5G to mirror the operator’s movements in real-time and perform tasks remotely. It will also exhibit “Diorama Stadium”, “New Concept Cart”, “LANDLOG”, and “Real-time 5G Radio Wave Visualizer”.

Within the NTT Group booth, Docomo will present a range of technologies developed with partners as well as examples of the B2B2X business model, such as AI and IoT-based speech recognition technology.
