Vodafone VoLTE goes live in Mumbai, Delhi, Gujarat

Vodafone VoLTE in IndiaVodafone has become the third Indian telecom operator to launch VoLTE services by rolling out the service in Mumbai, Delhi-NCR and Gujarat.

Earlier, Reliance Jio Infocomm and Bharti Airtel announced their VoLTE services in the Indian telephone market. Idea Cellular will be launching VoLTE early this year. Jio’s VoLTE is available across the country. But Airtel’s VoLTE coverage reaches only select towns.

Vodafone India’s VoLTE will be accessible on popular 4G mobile devices with a Vodafone 4G SIM. VoLTE promises HD quality voice to customers.

Vodafone India CEO Sunil Sood said: “Vodafone VoLTE will empower our customers to enjoy seamless connectivity of a higher level, enabling them to explore newer possibilities with their smart devices.”
Vodafone will expand the VoLTE coverage to Karnataka and Kolkata and other places in the country in a phased manner over the next few months.
