Vodafone 4G SIM reaches Delhi, what about speed and coverage

Vodafone 4G SIM in DelhiTelecom network operator Vodafone India announced the availability of 4G SIMs across Delhi and NCR – without mentioning coverage and speed of its LTE network.

The mobile service provider is offering free 1GB 4G internet to customers who are upgrading to 4G SIMs. They need to send a short SMS “GO4G” to 199.

Vodafone did not share specific details on the coverage of 4G services in Delhi and NCR. The company also did not mention about the guaranteed minimum and maximum speed from its 4G LTE services.

“Before we step into the next generation of telecommunications, we want to make the transition to 4G to be smooth and seamless for our 10 million customers in Delhi and NCR,” said Apoorva Mehrotra, business head – Delhi & NCR, Vodafone India.

Vodafone India will launch its 4G services on the 1800 MHz spectrum in Delhi and NCR soon.

Vodafone is making arrangements of home delivery of 4G SIMs for its premium high-value customers in Delhi and NCR.

Vodafone has already launched its 4G services in Kerala and Mysuru in Karnataka. The 4G roll-out will continue to major metros like Kolkata, Delhi, Mumbai and Bengaluru, to be launched by March 2016.
