Rogers Communications launches VoLTE across Canada

Rogers Communications today said Voice over LTE (VoLTE) is available across Canada.

The launch of VoLTE ensures clear, natural sounding voice and video calls to customers of Rogers Communications. VoLTE will be available on LG G3 Vigor, Canada’s first VoLTE-enabled device. More VoLTE-ready devices are expected this year.

Rogers Communications LTE-Advanced

Customers of Rogers Communications will be the first in Canada to complete HD voice and video calls over a VoLTE network, where available, versus the traditional voice network. HD Voice delivers life-like sound quality. In addition, VoLTE lets customers simultaneously place a call and browse the web or stream video at LTE speeds.

“Now customers making voice and video calls will benefit from clear sound quality and the same lightning fast LTE speeds for calls that Rogers delivers to surf the web or stream from your mobile device,” said Raj Doshi, executive vice-president, Rogers Communications.
